There are many elements that anyone can use to incorporate in their advertising plan. So where does one start? These 8 tips will ensure that anyone’s PR plan will get their campaign out there and promoted.

Tip #1: Make sure that one understands the situation.

  • Find out what the client wants.

  • Do some research.

  • Surround your ideas by the client’s plan.

Tip #2: Define the objective. Ask yourself...

  • Are you solving or helping the problem for them?

  • Is it achievable or realistic?

  • Is the success meaningful to the client?

Tip #3: Identify the audience.

  • Check with the client on demographic.

  • Directly communicate the problem.

Tip #4: Build a strategy to achieve objective.

  • Guidelines for plan of action

  • Strategy can be narrow or broad

  • Specific to one audience and objective or multiple.

Tip #5: Specify activity tactics towards objectives.

  • Use a tactic with a strategy, plus a theme.

  • Such as news release, brochures, video promo and so on.

Tip #6: Set schedules on your calendar to keep you on track.

  • Makes sure you begin your project.

Tip #7: How should things cost? Budgets

  • Outline the potential cost.

  • Everything counts

  • Car mileage, staffing, and etc.

Tip #8: Agree to have an evaluation of the criteria before everything.

  • Should be realistic

  • Credibility is needed

  • Have the appropriate client’s expectations
