5 Tips to Create an Affective PowerPoint

PowerPoint’s are an excellent tool that should enhance your presentation but what makes a presentation effective?

Here are some tips to follow for future presentations.

1. Never make your presentation to wordy! A good rule of thumb to follow would be 6 Words per slide. No more than 6 words in your heading also. User San Serif font in your heading to make it easier to read.

2. Select images that are appealing to your audience. Make sure to either cite or choose a non-copyright image! 3.Add videos to your presentations. YouTube videos are commonly used today and can be easily added to your presentations. When choosing a video make sure they enrich your topic. Don’t forget to use hyperlinks when adding videos to your presentation. Try out the video prior to your presentation!

4.Ask questions during your presentation to help increase engagement. You need to get your audience to engage with your presentation to make sure they understand your message. Looking for a new and easy way to get your audience to engage try using a response system. There are many response systems offered online that allow your audience to answer questions through an SMS and then its polled automatically.

5.Pick the right colors within your presentation. Use colors that have a good contrast so your audience can be able to read your PowerPoint’s.
