Every post needs a to stand out whether it be for a multi-billion dollar company like Apple or if it is for personal reasons and one wants to have a huge network to share and reach a certain audience. Whenever a post is being made, it is then on an online search engine like google and so how does a person or company have their main idea stand out to the public? Putting a simply #hashtag on it. Hashtags are known to increase the contents rankings in the search engine if they have certain hashtags that stand out for it. For example, a blogger writes about a cell phone that is called an LG V10 and review how well the phone performs, what features it has, and whether or not it has great camera for taking selfies. The phone company may have already brought a lot of audience to its attention, but no reviews on how good of a phone it is and so the blogger could tag; #LGV10 & #Phonereview, to bring the traffic of searchers to find the review.

#2 Making the most of the format:

The most used form a media is photos. Don’t think that is true? Look at the entrepreneurs who made Snapchat and Instagram. If those companies didn’t know what the public wanted, then I am sure that their platforms would strive as well as they are with multiple users. Statistics that are claimed to be relevant in our society are:

  1. Business Wire did a survey that found 75 percent of journalist and editors wanted photos, followed by graphics, info graphics and video.

  2. Studies also show that ⅔ of the population are visual learners.

  3. Other studies show that a 3rd of the population is auditory learners as well.

  4. And another fascinating fact is a study from the University of Minnesota found that visuals are processed by humans 60,000 times faster that text.

In other words, news releases that have more multimedia, equals even more views.

Quick tips on how to put it all together.

  1. Place keywords in headline and first paragraphs

  2. Include links to pages and hyperlink keywords that reinforce your message.

  3. BUT be judicious with links. Too many could pull audience away from your message.

  4. Distribute a release through services like Yahoo!, Google, Twitter, & etc.

  5. High quality and downloadable files with minimal wait time is preferred.

  6. Make sure the videos and photo highlight what the message is conveying
